Yes, if you qualify for an Enhanced Care Plan from your general practitioner or if you have private health insurance. Private health funds can cover podiatry but it will depend on your level of cover as to whether you are eligible to claim for these services. You will need to contact your health fund to find out about your personal entitlements to podiatry fees. Our HICAPS facility allows us to directly claim from your private health fund at the time of your treatment.
Please contact your nearest Core Podiatry Group clinic for more information. Podiatry consultation costs depend on the service required and if you have any pensioner concessions. Our clinics in Rosebud Cranbourne and Clyde provide a bulk billing service for care plan clients only.
Not generally, however we do accept eligible Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) or Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) referrals from your specialist or GP. If you are attending under a Workcover or TAC claim you will need a referral from your GP for the initial consultation.
Footwear is an important part of the consultation so please ensure you bring several pairs of casual, work or sporting footwear to your appointment along with any insoles or foot orthoses that you wear or have worn in the past.
